The LWRC International Advanced DI Complete Bolt Carrier Group was developed in response to a request made by the US Army in order to make improvements to the M4 Carbine. LWRC was challenged to make a bolt carrier group that offers an advantage over a stock BCG in a standard host M4. Thus the Advanced Direct Impingement Bolt Carrier Group was born. Made from high tech alloys which are usually reserved for formula 1 racing engines LWRC proved that they could make a BCG with superior performance, increased reliability and longer part replacement life cycles versus typical Mil standard components.
